I hope you are doing well and keeping yourself and your family members safe! I appreciate how you have adapted to these challenging times and are making the best use of this opportunity to upskill yourself through Toastmasters, attending club meetings around the globe, and being there for each other.
I am reaching out to tell you something. 'Please don't be a leader.' Yes, you read it right!
Why? Because in leadership you would need to:
1) Be lonely at times
2) Like being around people
3) Be decisive
4) Be comfortable with conflict
5) Stand for something when everyone is against it
6) Not be a manager
There are other qualities needed in a leader too that you would know about, but if you would like to do all of the above, I would love to have you on our team!
In the upcoming program year, we have decided to go lean in our District leadership structure for effective coordination and implementation of our vision to achieve the District Mission. Having said that, apart from the roles in this form, you will also get opportunities at the Division and Area level for which the process will be communicated later.
I invite you to fill up this application form that will take you on an exciting ride of leadership and enable you to contribute to our District 98 family. So, get on board!
